The set is the same type that Bobby Fischer practiced and trained with. It is a highly sought after piece for collectors and chess enthusiasts alike.
This is a very rare pocket chess set probably made in Germany in the 1930's-1940's. The set is handmade with excellent detail and great craftsmanship. The cover of the set is made from genuine dark brown color leather. Inner side (the chess board) is made from cardboard featuring slotted pockets for each piece. Pieces are made of flexible celluloid plastic. The chess symbols are stamped with golden color.
The set measures: approx. 9x13 cm (3.5x5.1 inches) when folded and 17x13 cm (6.7x5.1 inches) when opened
